About 

Karen Payne first started as a developer with Nantucket Clipper 1990, progressed to Microsoft C, Borland C, Borland Delphi and then to Microsoft Visual Studio .NET programming languages.

  • Authored 150 plus code articles on MSDN
  • Authored 150 plus code articles for Microsoft TechNet Wiki
  • Moderator on several Microsoft forums and third party forums
  • Contributor on JEDI Visual Component library and wrote code samples 
  • From 1990 to 1994 worked as a freelance contract developer along with writing monthly code articles for a magazine known as Clipper Advisor.
  • From 1994 to 2018 worked for Oregon Department of Revenue creating enterprise solutions for personal income tax, corporate income tax, property tax, tobacco tax program and cadastral mapping.
  • 2018 to present calls Oregon Employment department as home base building mobile, desktop and services using both Visual Studio .NET and Coldfusion.
Karen has a passion for driving small fast sports cars, currently owns two Mazda ND series Miata.
